Billy Joe Spurlock, 84, died April 25 in Oklahoma City. He was born May 3, 1932 in Oklahoma City, the son of Hershal V. and Mary M. Owens Spurlock. He was a US Army veteran of Korea. Billy was the owner of Spurlock Companies. He was a member of the American Legion, the Archaeological Society and the Geological Society. On October 22, 1950, he married Betty J. Emert in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by a brother, Scotty Spurlock. Survivors include his wife, Betty; sons, John S. Spurlock and wife Malora of Yukon, OK and Mark W. Spurlock of OKC; grandchildren, Cory Spurlock and wife Jennifer, Heather N. Anderman and husband Sean, Britni D. Spurlock, and Haley N. Franklin and husband Josh; great-grandchildren, Noah, Andrew, Evan, MaKenna, and Peyton. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
