On April 19, 2014, Billy L. Sipes left this earth to celebrate Easter and spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born to William and Evelyn Hale Sipes on December 19, 1933 in Elkhart, KS. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Myrna Franklin, on June 19, 1952. They were blessed with 5 children. They moved to Bethany to attend college from 1953-1957. He was a member of Metroplex Church and actively supported his church with his time, talents and resources. His passion for Men in Missions took him worldwide to build Nazarene Facilities. Even after a near death accident in France, he continued to participate in an additional four trips. He drove a school bus for Putnam City Schools for 22 years. In 1970, he started Sipes Service Auto with his sons. Billy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; brother, Charles; his daughters, Patricia Brill and Pamela (Richard) Barnes; his sons, David (Rebecca), Richard (Linda), and Robert (Christie); 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
