Billy John Howard was born June 2, 1927 and went to be with his Lord and Savior July 12, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Velcine, and son Jerry, both of the home; daughters Sharon Gering and husband Kent of Yukon, Marsha Norman and husband Mike of Piedmont; 4 grandchildren: Matthew and Andrew Gering, William Tucker, and Mica Norman. He is also survived by brother Charles Howard, AL; sister Glenna Howard, TX; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Mary Howard; brother Joe Howard; and sisters Mary Howard and Bonnie Gentry. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 9am-9pm with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, July 16, 11:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
