Obituary

Billy Floyd "Pa" Johnston, 89, of Bethany, OK went to his heavenly home on July 14, 2024. He was born on November 28, 1934 in Macomb, OK to Charley and Opal Johnston.

Bill and his wife Cleota ("Neno") were married 57 years before she was called to her heavenly home in 2011. They were blessed with two children, Mike Johnston and wife, Darlina, and Donna Buchanan and husband, Ron. They had six grandchildren, Michael Johnston (Dana), Daelina Carter (Jerry), Micah Johnston (Morgan), Chad Buchanan (Lindsey), Chase Buchanan (Abby), and Chaning Schaff (Lane). The Lord also gave them eleven great-grandchildren, Charleigh, Jake, Rylie, Wyatt, Braxton, Ryder, Campbell, Hudson, Olivia, Easton, and Emma. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Spencer.

Bill was the president and owner of Johnston Food Company for many years. Although he retired from the food business, he never quit working. He kept busy with Johnston Oil and Gas and mowing yards, where he made many friends. He enjoyed taking his wife on trips, including a trip to Europe. He loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always interested in their church activities, school activities, and sporting events.

Bill gave his heart to the Lord as a young man after a camp revival, in the backseat of a 1954 Oldsmobile. He read the Bible all the way through nearly 100 times. He dedicated his life to telling people about Jesus and how to get to heaven. He loved the Lord and his New Day Church family and served as a deacon for several years.

John 11:25-26: "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die."
