On Friday, October 28, 2016, Wilda Faye "Billie" VanZant was called home to be with Jesus at the age of 80. Billie was born to Oscar "Pop" and Mildred Green of Marquand, MO in 1936. While a student at Olivet Nazarene University, she met and married her best friend and life partner, Glenn VanZant. Billie was forever devoted to Glenn from the very start, and they were blessed with 59 years of marital bliss. Together Glenn and Billie had 3 children, Cindy, Don and John Mark. Billie was an incredibly devoted wife and mother and lived to serve the Lord in everything she did. Billie worked as an Office Manager and Youth Pastor alongside Glenn in three churches in Sikeston and St. Louis, MO and Bethany, OK. She was an excellent cook and loved to play piano and sing in church alongside Glenn every chance she got. After retiring, she co-founded the ROC resale shop with Glenn in OKC and poured her heart and soul into helping the community. Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; son, John Mark; parents, Oscar "Pop" and Mildred Green; brother, Gerald Green and sister Lena O'Bannon. From eternal paradise, Billie will watch over those she has left behind: daughter, Cindy Dillon and husband Dennis; son, Don VanZant and wife Trinket; four loving grandsons, Matt, Tim, Stephen and Brady; and untold others whose lives were touched by her Christ-like love.
