Bill L. Winters, 94, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on April 25, 2022, after a brief illness. Bill was born on June 27, 1927 in Bristow, OK to J.W. and Alta Mae (Wilson) Winters. Bill graduated from Classen High School in 1945. Shortly after, he joined the United States Navy, where he received an honorable discharge in July, 1946. Bill then returned home to Oklahoma and his high school sweetheart, Patsy A. White. The couple united in marriage on June 18, 1948. They enjoyed going dancing and raising their two daughters. Bill and Patsy were married for 58 years until her passing in 2006. Bill was an avid golfer, receiving his only hole-in-one on May 14, 1998. He also enjoyed baseball and football and although his family were loyal OSU supporters, Bill never wavered from his support of OU. His greatest enjoyment was watching his grandchildrens and great-grandchildrens ball games and tennis matches. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy; two sisters, Reba Jean Watt and Mary Adams; and grandson-in-law, Jason Carroll. He is survived by his two daughters, Lee Ann (Mark) Glass of Oklahoma City, OK and Teddi Cox of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, Chad (Brooke) Cox of Bartlesville, OK, Casey Carroll of Gainesville, TX and Chase (Becca) Cox of McKinney, TX; and five great-grandchildren, Dakota, Parker, Wyatt, Caden and Mason. Graveside services will be at 10:00am on Friday, April 29, 2022 in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Garden of the Apostles. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bills name to a Veterans program of your choice. .
