Born in McLean, Texas on December 17, 1931, B. F. Golightly went to meet the Lord on Thursday evening, October 21, 2021. He came to Bethany at the age of 17 to attend Bethany Nazarene College where he met and married Ferne Lawrence. They had four children, Reginald Karl, Marla Ruth, Curtis Vincent, and Susan LaNell. He worked at the Bethany Post Office for 38 years. He started attending Jernigan Memorial Church as a young man and over the years was very active in church and in inviting people to attend church. In his retirement he enjoyed gardening and picking up pecans around Bethany on properties where he could get permission. He is survived by one sister, Hazel Gantz, son, Curtis Golightly, and two daughters, Marla Winebarger and Susan Pajak. He was preceded in death by his son, Reginald and mother of his children, Ferne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jernigan Memorial Church of the Nazarene. .
