Betty Louise (Presson) Wales, 89, of Bethany, Oklahoma, joined the angels of heaven on June 3rd, 2021. Betty was born in Robeline, Louisiana to Veldon and Ruth Presson on August 8th, 1931. She was the oldest of four siblings who have since passed away. She was living at Emerald Square Assisted Living in Oklahoma City with her husband Harry Wales at the time of her death.Betty met Harry Wales in 1948 and were married after dating for six months. They remained sweethearts until Betty passed away, seventy-three years later.In 1960 Harry felt led to become a minister. Betty was a faithful and patient minister's wife. She packed and moved two children several times across four different states over the course of Harry's 37-year career as a minister in the Church of Nazarene.Betty had many talents, some of which included growing beautiful roses, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also loved working jigsaw puzzles. Most of all she loved her volunteer work and the fellowship of friends at the Bethany Senior Center. She and Harry rarely missed a day.Harry and Betty retired to Bethany, Oklahoma in 1997 to be near family. Betty is survived by Harry, daughters, Cindy Wales of Bethany, Oklahoma and Debbie Knight and husband Geoff Wooding of Morristown, New Jersey, as well as many adopted children and grandchildren. A family gathering will be held Sunday June 6th, 5:007:00pm at Mercer-Adams. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 7th at 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams in Bethany. The service will live streamed and available to watch on this obituary page. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fellowship at the Western Oaks Church of Nazarene.
