On Friday morning, September 16, 2016, Betty Lee Jech Rasp, slipped away to the warm embrace of our Heavenly Father and her loving husband of 56 years, Mervin D. Rasp. Betty Rasp was brought into this world on July 16, 1929, in Kingfisher, OK, to Mary and Jerry Jech. She graduated from Big Four High School in 1947 and married the love of her life, Mervin Rasp, on March 18, 1950. In 1951, Mervin and Betty moved from Kingfisher to Oklahoma City, where they pursued their lives as hard working business owners and raised their three children, Gerald Rasp, Jay Rasp, and Regina Rasp Davis.
Without question, Betty was incredibly devoted to her Heavenly Father, her husband, her three children, her eight grandchildren, and her twelve great-grandchildren, her brothers and their wives, Keith and Lois Jech, and Arnold and Donna Jech. She enjoyed many hobbies, including quilting and sewing. She could often be found sitting at her sewing machine creating matching outfits, Halloween costumes, prom dresses, or tuxedo vests and cummerbunds for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, travelling, reading, playing games, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Needless to say, because she played such an important role in her familys lives, she leaves quite a void that can never be filled. Whenever any of us needed something done, she was the first person we called.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Mervin; her brother Delvin Jech, and her sister-in-law, Nancy Jech; and her precious granddaughter, Ashlee Davis Adams.
