Betty Jean Pischel, 90, died November 16, 2018. She was born January 7, 1928 in Richland, Iowa to Floyd and Ruby (Warren) Lyon. She was proud to be the wife of a preacher and professor, and she encouraged her husband to be the best he could be. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Pischel, her parents, and her sisters, Mae Luers and Elma Lamb. Survivors include her children, Martha OHair and husband Harold, James Pischel and wife Robin, Timothy Pischel and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Jeff OHair, John OHair and wife Lindsay, Tracy Daughtery and husband, Ron, Amanda Crooks and husband Matt, Kristina Travis and husband Jodie, Jamie Wood, and Rodney Pischel; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Zachary, Jake, Andy, Daphne, Iris, Cameron, Ryan, Piper, Andee, Lane, Willow, Carter, Remington, Millie, Malachi, Samuel and Gabriel; and Day Lily friends and neighbors who have been so kind to her. Viewing will be Monday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Tuesday, November 20, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
