Nov 20, 1937 — Sep 26, 2024
Betty J. Stevens McKay ("Stevie") was born November 20, 1937 in Glenpool, OK to Sam and Ella Jane Stevens. They moved to Henryetta when she was around three years old. Betty attended school there until she graduated in 1956. She was a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society for 3 years and was in the top ten of her class. After graduation, Betty and her best friend, Babs, went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Tulsa. She met Gary McKay and transferred to Oklahoma City and got married in 1960. There she gave birth to her sons, Matt, in 1960, and Mike, in 1964. She and Gary were divorced in 1976.
Betty left the telephone company and went to work for ONG in 1965 and retired in 2009. There she made many good friends. She could water ski and play golf. She loved to play softball and she was a very good dancer. Betty rode on the ONG float in 1989 and the float was invited to be in the Cotton Bowl Parade in Dallas in January, 1990.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Sam Stevens; mother, Ella Jane Skupien; stepfather, Joe Skupien; and half-brothers, Curtis Kendall and John Skupien.

(and wife Taylor and soon-to-be great-grandson), Marley and Maddie; stepdaughter, Sherry Berryman, along with her husband, Ric, and children, Taylor, Jessie and Shelly; and stepson, Mark McKay.
