Betty June Bacon (Griffith) passed away on January 1, 2010. She was born in Oklahoma City on October 24, 1923. She graduated from Central High School and remained in Oklahoma City throughout her life. She worked as a beautician for many years and continued to embrace life after her retirement. Among her many activities were volunteering at the Oklahoma Blood Institute for 15 years and attending several book clubs. She had a love of ballroom dancing. We can imagine her in heaven, dancing with her crinolines whirling on a good hair day. She is survived by her son, Ty Bacon, of Philadelphia, PA; her granddaughter Kimberly Bacon; her half sister Lucy Helseth; many nieces and nephews; McDonalds; and long time friend John Kiser. She will be deeply missed. Services will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK, on Saturday, January 9 at 10:00am. Flowers or donations in her name to the Oklahoma Lung Association or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
