Epling, Jean, 82, was called home December 20, 2008. She was born in Liberty, Missouri, April 25, 1926 to Ruth and Frank Berndt, and was raised by step-parents, Florence Berndt and Ernest Abernathy. She worked in the banking industry, including the First National Bank of Oklahoma City for 50 years. She loved crossword puzzles, TV game shows and being with all her friends. She is survived by Cousins, Helen Gibbs, Helen Mann, both of Kansas City, Missouri, Gerald( Linda) McCorkle, Kelly Nixon, Karyn Page, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; longtime friends Ray Jean (Rob) Hester, Kansas City, Kansas, and the family of Corrinna Upton, Oklahoma City. She was a super lady and will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Odyssey House Hospice, 13920 Quailbrook Dr., Oklahoma City, OK 73134. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma.
