Bernerd "Bernie" N. Drake, 85, passed away on December 23, 2013 in OKC. Bernie was born on April 24, 1928 to Charles and Beatrice (Bedsaul) Drake in Gebo, Wyoming. He graduated in Thermoplis, WY in 1946. Bernie proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a regional manager for Weatherford Oil Tools and sold life insurance for 40 years until retirement. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Bernie was a member of USBC. He was married to Evadee Tucker from 1950 until 1963. On December 30, 1975, Bernie married his best friend, Vickie Dixon. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Drake and granddaughter, Amanda Marker. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Vickie; sons, Michael Drake of San Diego, CA and Mark Drake and wife Donna of Yukon, OK; grandchildren, Ashley (Andrew), Allyson, and Avery; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Asayla, Ryley, August, and Gavin; nieces and nephews, Cherlynn, Brian, Debbie, Drinda, Donnie, Larry and Berdine. Visitation will be Friday 9am-9pm with the family present from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
