Bella Louise Dye, age 82, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Odyssey House Hospice Center in Oklahoma City, Ok. She was born December 26, 1926 in Greeley, Colorado to the late Leslie C. and Ruby M. (Lowe) Wallace. She was married 54 years to the late Worley Scott Dye, Sr. Her sister Plata Lehrman also preceded Bella in death.
She was a homemaker. A member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the church choir, Mobile Meals and LIFT. She was a member and past president of the United Methodist Women Group, Ladies Sorelle Club, the Builders Class and the Gamma Book Club.
Five children, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive her. Daughter, Leslie Wintory of Fort Smith, AR, granddaughter Kim Taylor, husband Nathan, great-grandchildren Kenna, Abby and Ella of Southlake, TX, granddaughter Karen Willems, husband Jason, great-grandchildren Cole and Marleigh of Fayetteville, AR. Daughter Beverly Mullins and husband Gary of Edmond, OK. Daughter Rebecca Newgent of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter Jessica Kuhlman and great-grandchildren Nathaniel and Adriana of Oklahoma City, OK. Son W. Scott Dye, Jr., wife Sher of Plano, TX, grandson Dann, wife Mindy, and great-granddaughter Katie of Killeen, TX. Son, the Reverend Michael Dye of Apache, OK, wife Rhonda and grandson Jordan of Ochelata, OK, granddaughter Jennifer Garner, grandson Mike Garner and great-granddaughter Kadyn of Owasso, OK.
Viewing will be Friday, February 20, 2009, 9:00am 9:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Services, Bethany, OK; family visitation 6:00pm 8:00pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 21, 2009, 10:30am, Wesley United Methodist Church, the Reverend Phillip Davis presiding; graveside services, 2:00pm, Konawa, OK, the Reverend Michael Dye presiding. Pallbearers are Bryan Dye, Eric Dye, Damon Dye, Stan Spears, Randy Brewer and Jerry McCall.
