Obituary

Belinda Kathleen Boatman, lovingly known as "Kathy," entered the presence of her Savior on March 22, 2026, at the age of 76 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Born on December 26, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents, Oliver Orby and Georgia May Hartman, Belinda was raised in a loving household with three siblings: twin sister, Olivia Gerene "Geri" Willis; younger brother, David Hartman; and youngest sister, Keta Pope.

Belinda was a 1968 graduate of Putnam City Original High School. In July of that same year, she married her highschool sweetheart, Gary Earl Boatman. They celebrated 57 years of marriage in 2025.

Belinda was loved deeply by her two children, Michael David Boatman and Beci Ann Kirkland. She was supportive and involved in their sports and music activities. Most of all, she made sure her family grew in Christ by attending church every week. Even though she loved her children, she had a special place in her heart for her daughter-in-law, Michele Boatman and son-in-law, Billy Kirkland.

Belinda adored and loved her six grandchildren: Mason Worley, Gavin Boatman, Marshall Worley, Conlan Boatman, Joy Dickson and Kennedy Boatman. They were the light of her life, and they could do no wrong.

Belinda was a graduate of Bethany Beauty College and spent many years as a Nail Technician. Her greatest accomplishment was graduating from Rhema Bible College

.

In 1970 Belinda gave her life over to God at a revival given by pastors Dr. Daniel T. and Bonnie Sheaffer of First Assembly of God. Through the process of learning God's Word through Pastor Sheaffer, she became the Women's Ministry Teacher at Crossroads Cathedral. Years later Belinda became the Women's Ministry Leader for Shekinah Fellowship Church under pastors Roger and Dolly Velasquez. Belinda was currently the Senior Adult Sunday School teacher at Harvest Assembly of God Church under pastors Michael and Starla Sheaffer.

Over the past several years Belinda was able to visit Israel several times. She was able to boat on the Sea of Galilee and walk on the edge of the Dead Sea and the Red Sea. She traveled into Jordan and over to Petra. With every trip to Israel, she grew spiritually, learning more about Jesus and his walk on this earth. She loved to share her travels and experiences with everyone.

Even though our hearts are sad, we REJOICE that she is with our Lord and Savior. We have peace knowing as soon as Jesus took her by her right hand she heard "WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT" (Matthew 25:21 & 23).

Belinda was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Orby Hartman and Georgia May Hartman.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Harvest Assembly of God Church, 4019 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 11, 2026, at 2:00pm. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed on this obituary page.

Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. (Psalm 73:23-24)
