Belden J. "B.J." Slothower, 103, passed away October 7, 2015. He was born September 21, 1912 in Osborne County, Kansas to Joseph and Ette (Coates) Slothower. He married Esther Mae Darnell and came to Southern Nazarene University after a call to the ministry. He pastored for 25 years in Kansas and Oklahoma. He worked at SNU as a custodian after retiring from the ministry at age 86. After 59 years of marriage to Esther, he married Maxine Lewis. He was preceded in death by both wives. Survivors include his son, Dean and wife Evelyn, 3 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Friday, 8am-9pm at Mercer-Adams.
