Bee Jay Garrison, 92, passed away December 31, 2016. He was born to Bee Young Garrison and Lola Rowena (Merrell) Garrison in Welch, OK, April 19, 1924. He graduated from Welch High School, where he played basketball. He served in the Pacific during WWII with the U.S. Army, graduated from NEO A&M College, Miami, and attended the University of OK, majoring in art. As the owner of Garrison Homes, he designed and built custom homes in the OKC and Edmond areas for many years. He enjoyed boating, skiing, tennis, the Sooners, and politics. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nina Garrison Hudson. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Pauline (Miller) Garrison; sister, Rowena Garrison Earle, Kansas City, MO; brothers, Kenneth Garrison and Jewell D. Garrison (Peggy), OKC; brother-in-law, Curtis Miller (Sharon), Tulsa, and sister-in-law, Shirley Mathews, OKC; five nieces, three nephews; and many dear great-nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, January 5, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK, with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or the charity of your choice.
