Bea went to be with the Lord after a long illness. She was born in Pryor, OK to Beulah Wilson. She grew up in Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1953. The medical industry called her at a young age when she enrolled in x-ray training in Wichita, KS. Upon graduation, she obtained a job at the Ponca City Hospital. During this time, she met the love of her life, Carl Andrews. They were married in May 1959. The marriage lasted through good times and bad until Carl's death in 2002. Pursuing job opportunities, they moved to OKC in 1963. She then began a long and enjoyable career at Mercy Hospital, retiring there in 1996. She especially liked assisting patients and their families through their difficult times. While at Mercy, she obtained the nickname, "Aunt Bea." All the while, she was a faithful church-goer. She was a longtime active member of West Tenth Street Baptist Church for over 30 years. No matter the circumstances, she always made sure her children and grandchildren had tithes for Sunday school. She leaves behind 3 sons and daughters-in-law, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her acts of kindness. Services will be held at 2:30pm, Tuesday, December 27 at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, OK. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers and especially Physicians Hospice for their compassionate attention.
