Barton Reece "Bart" Robinson was born to Charles and "Babe" Coina Robinson in OKC and raised in Bethany, OK. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy, of the home; daughter, Misti Wright and husband Danny; 4 grandchildren, Parker, Nichole, Katie and Taylor; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Baylee and Zoey; brother, Chuck Robinson and wife Phyllis Ann; sister, Beverly Botchlett and sister-in-law, Joretta Warren; brother-in-law, Dan Berry and wife Debbie; and several nieces and nephews and numerous other family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lori Ann DeShazer. He was a member of the 12 Year Club at Bethany Public Schools. He was involved in sports where he excelled in basketball and track. He won the state championship in high jump in the class of 1957. His record stood for 25 years. Bart graduated from Central State College in 1961. He served in the Air National Guard and was Physical Director of the Westside YMCA in Tulsa. He was the first Jr. High basketball coach for Heritage Hall and later was a Recruiter for OK School of Banking and Business and Sooner Trade School. He was an avid trout fisherman at Red River, NM. He enjoyed cruising with his friends, and was an OU fan in both football and basketball. A special thanks to his cousin and caregiver, Janet Theus, Dr. Shawn Schlinke, Mercy Hospice, and Dr. James Kirk. Viewing with family present will be Wednesday from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, August 27, 11:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MADD in memory of Lori DeShazer.
