Barbra Lee Jenkins, 87, passed away December 11, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born November 16, 1937 to Arthur Lee and Edith Geneva (Askew) Buck in Freeport, TX. She was raised with her two siblings, Fawnda and Eddie, in Bethany, OK and graduated from Bethany High School in 1955.

Barbra married Lynn Odell Jenkins in 1956. Their son, Chad, was always the light of their lives. She went back to school and graduated in 1969 from Central State University in Edmond, OK with a bachelor's degree in English education. She enjoyed a career as a benefit representative at Deaconess Hospital until her retirement, then found her favorite job in custodial care at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany.

Barbra enjoyed decorating, both her own home and those of her friends. She was an avid reader and always had a book or crossword puzzle. She loved several genres of music: country and western, oldies, classical, easy listening and especially jazz.

Barbra was a lifelong member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. She was a very spiritual person, knowing that her life's purpose was to learn what she had chosen to learn in this life so she could return to her spiritual home. She believed that the greatest lesson is to love one another as God loved us.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
