Barbara Ann Wood passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the home of her parents in Bethany, OK at the age of 64. She was born on November 2, 1948 in Oklahoma City to Rose Mae and John T. Brown (deceased). Barbara attended and graduated from Bethany Public Schools in 1966. She also attended Bethany Nazarene College. Her last job started in March of 1995 with Work Services Corporation in Wichita Falls, Texas starting as a job coach and retiring as the Contracts Manager in September of 2009. Previous to that job she worked at the Veterinarian Clinic in Waurika, OK, One Silver Place in OKC, Wood Family Nursing Homes in North Central Texas, Northwest Pathology Labs in OKC and in her parent's business, John T. Brown Department Store in Bethany, Oklahoma as Jewelry buyer and manager. She is survived by her mother, Rosie; sister, Sheila Brown and brother Phil E. Brown & wife Denise. She is also survived by her daughter, Porscha Wood Lopez and her children Mason, Gage, Ayden, Trinity and her son, Chris and his wife Tina and their children Brittani, Tori, Jacob, Elizabeth, Anna, and their grandchildren Tanner and Abigail; and many loving relatives and friends. Memorial services to celebrate Barbara's life will be held in Bethany, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Mercer-Adams Chapel and in Waurika, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the First Baptist Church.
