Barbara Sims was born on October 17, 1938 to Robert and Ella Odell. She went home to heaven on June 9, 2022. Barbara graduated from Muskogee High School in 1956. She married the love of her life on February 12, 1960. Her late husband, Elbert Sims, preceded her in death on November 1, 2017. Barbara worked as a secretary/office manager at a number of businesses in her career, including the University of Oklahoma and Conoco. Her greatest love was family. She believed the more the merrier. She always had a good meal and a game of Skip-Bo ready for any who came by. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and was a member of Christs Legacy Church. She is survived by brothers, Ben Odell and Charles Odell; children, Frank (Stephanie) Sims, Carolyn Sims, and Dean (Michele) Sims; grandchildren, Allie (Donnie) Currie, Lacey Harris, Katie Sims, Drew Robinson, Zach Sims, Hannah Sims, and David Sims; and 7 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Monday, 9am-8pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Services will be Tuesday, June 14, 2:00pm at Christ's Legacy Church, 11101 N.
