Barbara Ann Jackson, 67, died November 1, 2012, with her family by her side in Edmond, Oklahoma after a long battle with Lymphoma. The Rosary will be prayed at 7pm Monday, November 5th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am November 6th. She will be buried in Burlington, Iowa at a later date to be announced. She was born and raised in Burlington, Iowa where she also met her husband of 45 years, Michael W. Jackson. She earned her teaching degree at Western Illinois University and taught elementary children at Christ the King Catholic School in Oklahoma City. She left teaching in the mid 80's to help her husband run his law practice. Throughout her lifetime, she volunteered in many different areas including: School PTA's, Free to Live Animal Sanctuary, Samaritan house food pantry in Edmond and Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her husband, Mike Jackson; brother, Henry (Bud) Fritzsche of Auburn, California; two daughters and their families: Joseph and Amy Jackson Herrod and Stephanie Jackson Gilliam; and five grandchildren: Ashley and Jackson Herrod, and Trey, Macy, and Cessa Gilliam.
