Barbara D. Crouse, 81, passed away on June 22, 2010. She was born May 31, 1929, in Maud, Oklahoma. She was married to the late Hardy G. Crouse who was in the Air Force. They lived in several states and Germany before returning to live in Bethany, OK in 1968. She worked in the Law Library at the Oklahoma State Capitol and became head of the Legislative Reference Division. She later transferred to the Oklahoma State Senate and retired as the Director of Senate Records and Information in 1999 with 30 years of service. After retirement, she served as a volunteer at Bethany Hospital for several years. She is survived by her son, Dorsey Dee Crouse and wife Tina of Fort Worth, TX, and their children, Allison Sifuentes and husband Steven, Brian Crouse, and Nathan and Brandon Simpson; daughter, Carolyn Lowe and husband Kevin of Gwinn, MI, and their children, Christopher Deason and wife Bethany, Lisa Redding and husband Nolan, Andrew Deason, Curtis Deason and wife Mandy, and Jennifer Phillips and husband Jay; 8 great-grandchildren, Liam Deason, Madalyn and Annabelle Redding, Ella and Maya Deason, and Austin, Chris and Stevie Sifuentes. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm with the family receiving guests from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, on Sat., June 26 at 10:00am. Private graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Shawnee, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church, Bethany, OK.
