Audrey Jo (Brannan) Kirksey of Bethany, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday April 1, 2009. She was born October 12, 1936, in Blocker, Oklahoma to Rommie and Annie Brannan. She graduated from Wewoka High School in 1954. Following high school she went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. where she retired after 31 years of service. She married Wendyl Kirksey September 12, 1959. Audrey is survived by her husband Wendyl of 49 years; daughter Michelle Werner and her husband Dennis; grandchildren Isaiah, Micah and Moriah, Piedmont, Oklahoma; brother R.B. and Juanita Brannan, Lubbock, Texas, brother Charles Brannan, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Rommie and Annie Brannan and brother, James Brannan. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and caring grandmother who will be deeply missed. Services will be Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 3800 N. Mueller, Bethany, Oklahoma with burial at 2:00 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma. Visitation will be at Mercer- Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma, Friday, April 3, 2009, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
