Rev. Arthur Louis Evans from Bethany Oklahoma went to be with his Lord on September 22, 2017. Born in Danville, Illinois May 18, 1931 to Clarence and Edith Evans. Art was married for 64 years to and preceded in death by Dorothy Ann (Handley) Evans (deceased October 30, 2013). He is also preceded in death by his father and mother Clarence and Edith Evans, and son, Ricky Lee Evans. Art was a pastor of churches in Oakwood IL., Kankakee IL., and Sapulpa OK. He was a missionary to Swaziland, Africa and the Philippines. He also served the general Church of the Nazarene as a planned giving coordinator in estate planning. He most recently had served as a certified estate planner and staff chaplain at Access Financial of Bethany OK. Rev. Evans was also actively involved with the retired Ministers and Missionaries Association in the OKC area. Husband for 64 years, Father of 6 children, grandfather to 14 and great grandfather to 11. He is survived by his 5 children, Connie Vandersteen, Ricia Williams, Dan Evans, Doug Evans and Shelley Coil. Visitation will be at Mercer Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK on Sunday, September 24th, from 2-4pm. Services will be conducted by Rev. Terry Armstrong at Mustang Church of the Nazarene, located at 700 E State Hwy 152, Mustang, OK on Monday, September 25, 10:00am. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mustang Church of the Nazarene.
