Arnold Lee Wade, age 87, passed away on November 14, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 10, 1930 in Enid, Oklahoma to Byron and Emma Wade. He married Shirley Anne Armstrong on January 28, 1951, in Hardtner, Kansas. On July 6, 1964, their marriage was sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS temple.
Arnold was a devout Christian and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, was a rancher, and an avid golfer.
Arnold is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley of 63 years, and his daughter, Bobbie and son, Arnold Wade Jr. He is survived by five children: Teddy (Michelle), Terry (Gina), Tommy (Brady), Barry (Tracy), and Chris (Angie); and 38 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Oklahoma City LDS Stake Center, 5020 NW 63rd., OKC. Viewing will be all day Saturday, November 18, and on Sunday, November 19, with the family present from 6:00-8:00 PM at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK, and on Monday, November 20, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the LDS Stake Center prior to services. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
