Arlie Jack Neel, 77, of Bethany, OK, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Enid, OK. Arlie was born on August 9, 1937 to Charlie and Abbie Neel in Loraine, Texas. He spent most of his childhood in Texas before moving to Oklahoma. Arlie met Iona Cochran in Bethany in 1965. He finally convinced Iona to marry him on May 27, 1967. They settled in Bethany, OK to raise their family where Arlie worked for Gulfstream for over 30 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Abbie Neel; sisters, Velma Geraldine Neel, Verna Charlene Ryan, Vinnie Lee Compton, Ida Mae Compton and Irene Barr and brother, Emmett Neel. He is survived by his wife, Iona Marie Neel; brother, Perry Neel of Bethany, OK; sister, Nellie Askins of Odessa, TX; son, David Neel and wife Laura of Fairmont, OK; son, Doug Neel of Bethany, OK; son, Ryan Neel and wife Jil of Warr Acres, OK; granddaughters, Wynter Neel, Baleigh Graham, and Lyric Neel; grandsons, Ryan Neel, Jr., Justin Neel and Liam Neel; great-grandson, Greyson James; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2, 2:00pm at Crown Heights Church of the Nazarene, 920 N.W. 46th St., OKC with interment following in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
