Obituary

Annie "Ann" Lou (Rosier) Bates passed away peacefully and went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, for her homecoming celebration. She was born in Limona, Florida, one of four children to John Franklin and Lucy Anne (Murrill) Rosier. She married Charles Edgar Bates on May 15, 1945 in Tampa, Florida. Their marriage lasted almost 63 years until his death in April 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother. Also, her beloved eldest daughter, Linda Anne (Bates) Worley, went to be with the Lord in February 2007. Ann dedicated her life to the Lord, her husband, children, and family. She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Ruth (Bates) Smith and husband Ken Smith of Piedmont, OK, Cheryl (Bates) Eaton and husband Randy Eaton of Edmond, OK; her loving son, Charles "Charlie" Bates Jr. and wife Stacy Bates of Edmond, OK; 12 grandchildren who each loved their grandma dearly and 13 great-grandchildren bringing her loving joy; two sisters, Winnie Lawton and Rosamond Williams; and numerous other family members. She was greatly loved and will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to One Hope Missions -onehope.net. A service celebrating Ann's life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 7 at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery, OKC.
