Obituary

Ann Manering Massey was born June 10, 1929 in Dension, Texas to her parents Hattie and Leo Manering. On March 29, 2012, after a lengthy illness, she was welcomed with open arms to Heaven by Our Lord Jesus Christ. As a child and young lady, Ann grew up in Dension and Irving, Texas. She graduated from Dension High School in 1946 and attended Bethany Nazarene College. Ann married Von Massey in 1948 and together they raised a daughter and a son. Ann was a business woman in the 1960's with a flourishing career working for Mary Kay Cosmetics, as a Sr. Director, developing sales forces, selling, and launching new territories. She also opened her own company Slim-Gym that made and sold exercise equipment in the early 1970's. With health issues, she retired her career. Along with her husband, she traveled the world on business and pleasure visiting 8 different countries. Ann was a smart, strong, and loving woman. She took pride in her family and always talked of the Beautiful family she had. Above all, Ann had strong Faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. Ann is now in Heaven free from illness, walking tall, seeing clearly, and knowing that we will forever miss and love her...ALWAYS! Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Von D. Massey Sr, along with her daughter Linda Zimmer and son-in-law, Ron Zimmer; her son Dale Massey and daughter-in-law, Delana Massey; 10 grandchildren: Jennifer Pickle, Brian Bagnall, Eric & Kyle Massey, Regine Gordon, Rhonda Figeroa, Jenny Katz, Julie Romaine, Jessie & Tag Harris; 12 great-grandchildren: Joshua Pickle, Scott, Marie & David Gordon, Kristina & Victoria Romaine, Sammy & Emily Katz, Stephanie, Mary, Jennifer, & Zac Figeroa; and 1 sister: Gerry Holman.
