Anita Rose Witte, 80, of Sun City, Arizona died in Glendale, Arizona on October 15, 2023. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1943 to Harold and Ida Mae Scott as their only child. She finished her education at Huntington High School in 1960.

In 1962 Anita married her love, Charles Lee Witte, upon his discharge from the Navy. Over the next 6 years they added 3 children.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ida Mae Scott; her husband, Charles L. Witte, Sr.; her in-laws, Harold and Lula Marie Witte; her brother-in-law, David Witte; and grandson, Steven Ray Atteberry; as well as many lifelong friends. She is survived by her children, Robin Counce (Gregg) of Sun City, Arizona, Kim McAfee (Chuck) of Springdale, Arkansas, and Chuck Witte (Malissa) of Yukon, Oklahoma.

Anita was GiGi to 7 grandchildren: Kristen Fraley (Jonathan), Christopher Counce (Kylie), Joshua Counce (Aimee), Heather Sims (Jason), Sierra Witte, Kaylee Witte, and Jonathan Atteberry.

She was blessed with great-grandchildren as well: Ella Mae, Savanna Grace, and Katie Jo Fraley, Grayson and Jackson Counce, Scarlett, Everly, and Deacon Counce, Laci and Shad Sims.

Funeral services will be at 11:30am on Friday, October 27 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
