Viewing service for Andrew Morin Trevino, 89, of Oklahoma City, OK, will be held on Thursday, July 25 at Mercer Adams between 1-7 pm, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26 at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6001 NW. Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK, at 11:30 am. Andrew M. Trevino was preceded by his parents, Reginaldo and Olivia Trevino; brothers, Buddy, Albert, and Jessie; sisters, Gloria Trevino and Elizabeth Gonzales; and also by daughter, Billie Jo Neumann. He is survived by his loving wife, Belia Ortiz Trevino; brother, William; sister, Irene Gonzales; three grandchildren, Carl and John Hembree, Elizabeth Chong and husband Ben Chong; great grandson, Brandon Hembree; and many nieces and nephews. Andrew Morin Trevino was born on January 23, 1924 in Southton, Texas to Reginaldo Trevino and Olivia Morin Trevino. Mr. Trevino died on July 22, 2013 in Oklahoma City following a long illness, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Mr. Trevino and his wife of 69 years, Billie ("Belia") Frausto Ortiz moved to Oklahoma City in 1961. Prior to moving here, Mr. Trevino served proudly in the Army during World War II. He received a 2 year business education degree at Trinity University of San Antonio under the GI Bill. He was a proud American who dearly loved his country. But, it wasn't his service to his country that stands out when one reflects on his long and fruitful life. Andrew Trevino was also a compassionate and loving man who could never permit someone to do without if he could provide for them. One example of his compassion and love that stands out was how he treated his family, especially his many siblings. When one of his brothers was struggling financially back in Texas, Andrew moved his brother and family to Louisiana and set them up in a new life. A second example of his giving spirit would be grandchildren with their education and needs. He did such things without asking for anything in return; his reward was the joy he felt to know that he had helped. Mr. Trevino and his wife were the owners and operators of Mid State Construction Co. in Oklahoma City for over 20 years. Andrew never asked anyone to do anything that he would not do himself, and he could often be seen perched precariously on roofs and elsewhere about the construction site to ensure that the job was done correctly. During this time, Mr. Trevino also made sure that four young men, men who were not even related to him, received a good education, a job and a fresh start in life. These men, Ben Vasquez, Felipe Marquez, Luis Gaucin and Miguel Marquez grew up to also live productive lives and would visit Mr. Trevino frequently over the years. They never forgot his generosity and willingness to share with others. Not surprisingly, Mr. Trevino was also a Freemason and a member of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, better known as a Shriner, and Andrew and his wife Billie spent many hours helping others through the Order. But above all, the love of Andrew's life was his wife, Billie. He made sure that she never wanted for anything, and never once raised his voice in anger. Love was that important to him. Billie Trevino loved Andrew just as deeply, and took care of him 24/7 during his long illness. Andrew Trevino's life should be celebrated, not for his material possessions but for the love that he shared with all. Men like Mr. Trevino are truly a blessing from God.
