Alvin Dale Roberts, 74, died November 28, 2022 in Oklahoma City surrounded by his family. He was born July 13, 1948 in Geary, OK to Richard and Emma (Ward) Roberts. Dale attended Wewoka High School and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Serving during Vietnam he forged a lifelong pride as a Veteran and found his lifelong best friend, Larry Ortiz. He married Sharon Clinkenbeard on February 1, 1997 in OKC, OK. He ended his working career as chief engineer at Deaconess Medical Towers and then enjoyed retirement traveling with his wife, seeing his family and friends, and volunteering. Dale was an active 25-year member of Council Road Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and CUBE volunteer.
Dale liked to garden, fish, play golf, shoot guns, read, see plays and listen to music. He hated to play games only slightly more than cooking. Dale loved spending time with his grandkids in a myriad of ways -- planning fun places to go, sliding down hills on pieces of cardboard, visiting parks and zoos, golf, gun range, finding a great burger place, listening to them, loving them, and watching them grow up.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sharon; sons, Michael Burton of Dallas, TX, Josh Burton of Cypress, TX; and his children, William Roberts of Bethany, OK, daughter, Kimberly Roberts of Bethany, OK; 22 grandchildren, Anthony Roberts, Kera Roberts, Taylor Griggs, Tiffani Griggs, Quinton Hawkings, Morgen Cammack, Erika Berlanga, Maria Cusick, Mario Cusick, Lillyanna Garcia, Sharon Cusick, Amanda Strasser, Christian Cusick, Chandler Burton, Carson Burton, Lawson Burton, Garrett Burton, Jillian Roberts, Mackinzie Roberts, Makayla Berna, Landon Roberts, and Ava Roberts; and 14 great-grandchildren.
