Obituary

Roy Cox, a one-of-a-kind man who truly left his mark on the world, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 13, 2025, at the remarkable age of 90.

God surely broke the mold when he created Roy, a vibrant spirit whose zest for life could light up a room and whose laughter could make even the grumpiest person crack a smile. Roy was unmatched in his ability to sell cars. His quarter-century partnership with the Diffee family not only forged a prosperous career but also merged two families into an enduring bond. Whether he was negotiating a deal or sharing a story, Roy approached every aspect of life with commitment and compassion, always making sure that his unique set of "Roy Rules" respected others. He had an innate understanding of the importance of integrity—with a work ethic that consistently operated at 125%. Roy dedicated himself to everything he did, whether it was developing land, building houses, or turning car sales into an art form.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a devoted husband to Dixie Cox, a loving father, and a loyal friend. Their life together was a testament to love, laughter, and the joy of shared adventures. Roy's passion extended beyond work—he found immense tranquility on the golf course, where he could often be found searching for that elusive perfect swing or providing unsolicited advice to anyone who would listen. His laughter echoed through many a family gathering and golf outing, filling the air with warmth and joy. Though his absence will be deeply felt, we are all better people for having shared a slice of life with Roy Cox. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, kindness, and undying spirit that will inspire those who knew him to live life a little louder and love a little deeper.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie Cox; daughter, April Richards; son, Cameron Cox; grandchildren, Cale Richards, Ali Morris and husband T. J., Selah Morris, and Jubilee Morris.

Private family services will be held.
