Alma Lorene Payne, 98, died February 9, 2015 in Yukon, OK. She was born June 12, 1916 in Carnegie, OK to Charles and LuLu (Phipps) Lunsford. She was a retired elementary school teacher. She enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, cross-stitch and traveling. She married Frank E. Payne and they enjoyed 76 years together before his death on January 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Muse, a granddaughter, Cynda Kindle, a son-in-law, Paul Whitaker, 2 brothers, Lloyd and Billy, and a sister, Virginia Robbins. Survivors include 3 daughters, Ellen Elswick and husband Wayne of Dayton, OH, Carolyn Henderson and husband Conley of Hot Springs Village, AR and Anita Lance and husband Gary of Bethany, OK; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, February 14, 2:00pm at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with interment following in Bethany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Judy Muse Accounting Scholarship Fund at Southern Nazarene University.
