Doris Aline Bray Smith passed away March 09, 2019 at the age of 96. She was born in Mead, OK July 04, 1922 to Alva Bray and Ella Mae Davison Bray Phillips. Aline was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ernest Smith; two children, James Elvin Smith and Nancy Sue Smith; her daughter-in-law, Aneta Smith; and one brother, Harold Bray. She is survived by her son, Charles Smith; daughter, Doris Smith Guy; grandchildren, Timothy Smith, Kelly Smith Brandenburg (Mark) and Jennifer Guy-Hudson (Matt); great-grandchildren, Kody, Ian and Noah; one great-great-grandson, Rhyatt Smith; one brother, James T. Bray; and many nieces and nephews that were very special to her. She was a founding member of Tulakes Baptist Church, attending regularly until her health prohibited it. During her life, while being a wife and mother, she held numerous jobs outside the home. Her last job was owner of her custom drapery and bedspread shop primarily working for interior designers. She was well-known in the Oklahoma City area for her excellent work. Aline loved going to Las Vegas to gamble and just playing cards and dominoes with friends and family. Being artistically gifted she took up china painting and became very adept, leaving many beautiful pieces. In addition to her oil and china painting, you were truly fortunate if you were lucky enough to have received one of her handmade quilts. Aline will be missed by all who knew and loved her. At her request, there will be no funeral service and her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name to Tulakes Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
