Al married Marilyn Ann Claiborne on April 24, 1992, in Englewood, Colorado. He was self-employed since 1992 with Al Fischer Interiors. After Al semi-retired, he loved watching different shows, but specifically, Blue Bloods. He loved Christian music and singing in the choir and leading worship music. When he was younger, he loved to take his children skiing, camping, and teaching them to ride dirt bikes. He also loved traveling to tropical places with Marilyn.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Carr, Elk City, OK; sister-in-law, Brenda Joyce Claiborne Nash (Gary) of Bolivar, MO; granddaughter, Aaren Fischer; and many cousins.
