Our beloved Agnes Carol Smith, 87, passed away in her home on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born April 24, 1937, in Kingfisher, OK. She was loved and will be missed by her daughter, Brandy Sue Smith; son, William James "Billy" Smith, his wife, Stacey and extended family; brother, John F. Emmerich; sister, Roberta Diamos; niece, Jennifer; and nephew, Ricky. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes (Schlecht) Emmerich; husband, Sylvester Francis Smith; and son, Steve Anthony Smith.

Agnes attended Big Four High School in Kingfisher. Her first residence was at the YWCA in Oklahoma City where she met lifetime friends. Agnes loved to dress nicely and would not leave home without her hair fixed, makeup and nails perfect. Her first job was at the State Capitol; later, she attended beauty school and became a nail technician.

Agnes was a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She loved decorating, working in her garden, and keeping in touch with family and friends. She was also very involved with her community's Homeowner's Association.

Visitation at Mercer-Adams with family present will be Thursday, 6-8pm. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 17, 10:30am, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with interment in Kingfisher Cemetery.
