Adena Norvelle White Barkley passed from this life June 29, 2015. She was born in Wann, Oklahoma on April 26, 1919. The family moved to Bethany, Oklahoma when she was three years old where she grew up, graduated from Bethany High School and was a life-long member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. She married E. F. (Bob) White in 1943 and was married to him for 49 years. They lived in Oklahoma City where they had a very active social life. Adena had an outgoing personality, was an avid bridge player and developed a wide circle of friends. She and Bob retired to their cabin at Cedar Lake, Hinton, Oklahoma, where they were Charter Members and Pioneers of Cedar Lake. Adena helped with the children's Christmas program and played piano for the Cedar Lake Chapel for over fifteen years. After Bob's death, Adena moved back to Oklahoma City and several years later married Arvid Barkley. He preceded her in death after only three months of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Vada Hall, a brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Erma Hall, a sister Ruth Hall, two sisters and brother-in-laws, Maxine and Larry Smith and Lena and Joe McCallister. She is survived by two step-sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Robert White and Mr. and Mrs. Karl (Tommy) White, a niece Joy Heiliger and her two children Wendy Heiliger and Mr. & Mrs. David Heiliger and son, Zach of Weatherford, Texas, a nephew Leland Ray Smith of Hampton, Virginia, a great niece, Sandra Cleary of Edmond, Oklahoma, 5 step-grandchildren and thirteen step-great-grandchildren.
