Adell N. La Mon was born in Bryant, Oklahoma on the 24th day of September. She lived in Bethany, Oklahoma where she passed away on November 4, 2009. Adell was one of seven children born to James and Rosa McKinnon. Adell was a certified dietitian who worked as Dietary Director for the Putnam City School System for 25 years. Adell enjoyed cooking, quilting, reading and loved to dance. Adell married Gary on July 13, 1984 and they shared 25 wonderful years together. In addition to being survived by her husband, she is survived by one son, Wayne Saunders and Ms. Pat Parish, Norman, Oklahoma; one daughter, Janet Carter and husband Dennis, Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Brant Saunders, Charlie Kinnard, Levi Kinnard, Stacey Carter and Scott Carter; step-children Lynda Lem Mon and husband Cookie, David Lem Mon and wife JoAnn; daughter-in-law Linda Lem Mon; step-grandchildren Jason, Jeremy, Jerrett and Janine Lem Mon, Shawn FaVilla and Kimberly Govea, Shane and Austin Lem Mon; and great-grandchildren Christian, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Emma and Andrew. She is also survived by one sister, Lula Mae Dutch Fox of Norman and one brother Jim McKinnon of Cole, Oklahoma. Adell was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Altha and Frances, 2 brothers, Albert and Willard, 1 son, Frankie, and one step-son, Allyn Lem Mon. Viewing will be Friday, November 6, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Services will be Saturday, November 7, 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, Oklahoma.
