Marjorie Beth Shirley, 85, died March 11, 2014 in OKC. She was born November 5, 1928 in Vernon, TX to Robert and Lucille (Edwards) Gray. She began her career teaching kindergarten and later taught music for 25 years at Jackson Elementary School in Pauls Valley, OK. She was a member of the OEA and the Pauls Valley Music Club. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Allen, and husband, Dr. Jay Shirley. Survivors include her son, Terry Allen of Norman, OK; sister, Carolyn Lovelady of OKC; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, March 15, 1:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
